First Day at King's Keep

Packed and ready to go to King's Keep!

Today was your first day at King's Keep, Katy. We got all of your supplies- changes of clothes, diapers, bottles, mobile, etc.- laid out and ready the night before so we were ready to hit the ground running, this morning. Last night was so-so, sleep-wise. You woke up once for a feeding and then we had a really, really bad thunderstorm that roared into town in the wee hours of the morning. This morning, you were up before the alarm and fed, dressed and out the door by 7:12AM. Daddy dropped you off along with all of your gear and I picked you up in the evening.

Miss Susan reported that you had a good day- you ate all of your bottles and napped some throughout the day. Though, I don't think you napped as well as you would have at home. However, instead of greeting me with your usual smiles and giggles, you greeted me with "The Look" (the one that says, "Mommy, why did you leave me here? I'm not happy with you!"). Once we got home, you relaxed and started to be your usual smiley self.

Overall, it was a positive first day and a strong start. Let's keep this momentum going...!
