Today, we had lunch with some friends from Shoe Show. Since Tiffanie and Addison Smith were in town, Gena Bettis, Heather Bryan all joined us for a Planning Dept. soup and salad lunch- just the girls! We ate yummy jambalaya and potato and corn chowder while we caught up on each other's lives and work. So good to get together and especially to meet Addie for the first time!

Today, we went to Shoe Show to wish my friend, Tiffanie Smith, Happy Birthday (one day early!). Tiffanie was pleasantly surprised to see us and you did very well for your first big "outing." You were a hit (everybody kept coming over to see you!) and you slept through most of the birthday singing, "oohing" and "aahing." You do seem to love a crowd!

Katy, you arrived home to quite the fanfare. After a very long hospital check-out process. Daddy and I brought you home to a house full of guests on Saturday, February 20, 2010 at around 2:30PM. The weather was a warm 60 degrees, sunny and blue skies. Grandma and Pop-Pop Tinkey and Uncle Rob and Aunt Julie were present for your homecoming. We brought you into the house celebrity style- cameras flashing and lots of "Oohs! and "Ahhs!" Grandma and Grandpa Jones had a pretty vase of flowers delivered and waiting for your first day at home and I know they are excited to meet you, hold you and cuddle you! The lawn was decorated with a Stork announcing your birth and it was a gift from Mommy's work, Shoe Show. Balloons from friends also graced the outside mailbox and stairs.

Today, during lunch, you and I were showered with gifts and well wishes by my co-workers at Shoe Show. All the ladies in my area and got together to provide a yummy potluck lunch of chicken salad, deviled eggs, fruit, tuna casserole, cake and lots of festive decorations! By the time we finished opening the presents, we were seeing lots of pink- pink onesies from Tiffanie Smith, pink ballet slippers from Gena Bettis, pink bibs from LaTrisha Vinci, pink outfits from Ginny, Susan Richards and Cindi Harrington. In attendance were Tiffanie Smith, Amy Shatzer, Vickie Ellington, Vicki Harris, Cindi Harrington, Susan Richards, LaTrisha Vinci, Ginny and Sheila Jones.
