Today, you are 33 weeks old, Katy!

You've been waving pretty regularly, this week, Katy. You wave to people, to dogs, to your toys. It looks more like a backwards wave but it's still pretty cute.

Also, I'm not sure if this is coincidence, or not, but when we are downstairs playing and you have a dirty diaper, you will crawl over to your diaper caddy (where I keep all of your diapers, wipes, etc.). You've done this more than once and ever time you do this and I check your diaper, sure enough, you need to be changed. Hmm... is seven and a half months to young to start potty training??

When I finish feeding you in your high chair, I will sign "All Done" by waving my hands in the air. This may also be a coincidence, but more than once, I believe you've mimicked me by signing, "All Done."

Speaking of mimicking, you seem to be at the stage where you like to mimic Daddy and I. For example, if Daddy smiles at you, you smile back. If I wave, you wave. If we run away from you, you crawl faster toward us, as if to catch up. It's fun to see you learn through watching our actions.

You are still teething and there are times where you are CHOMPING on your hand, toy, fist- whatever you can fit in your mouth. Still no teeth, though. Is it too soon to be starting to sing, "All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth?" Of course, from my standpoint, you can wait as long as you like before any teeth make an appearance. ;-P

Lest I jinx myself, the last two nights have been relatively peaceful and filled with sleep- yes, sleep! I've been reading the No-Cry Sleep Solution by Elizabeth Pantley and while I don't prescribe to all the methods in the book, there are some helpful tips and hints that I believe have helped the whole Jones family get some much-needed nighttime rest. We are also in the midst of tweaking your nighttime routine to see if that is part of the reason bedtime is such a battle. For now, we are just happy with SLEEP!

Daddy has now caught your cold from last week, Katy. Either that, or he picked up something from the derelicts and dead-beats at the courthouse when he was taking care of his traffic ticket on Monday. When you get older, Katy, we'll have to teach you how to share everything but germs.

We're getting our bags packed for our trip to see Grandma and Pop-Pop Tinkey in FL, next week. Thankfully, they have most of the gear that a baby needs and we are just packing one suitcase between the two of us. We'll see how you do on your second round of flights...
