Lost in Translation
The newest Muppet movie, Muppets Most Wanted, came out, last week. Of course, we saw it opening weekend!
Katy has been slightly *obsessed* with singing and listening to all of the songs from the movie. One of the songs sung in the movie is, "Working In A Coal Mine."
Yesterday, we caught her to singing and dancing along to the YouTube videos, at the top of her lungs, "Working in the COLD MUD, Goin' down, down, down... Whoop! About to slip down..." She couldn't be convinced that the lyrics were "Coal Mine" and not "Cold Mud."
Another funny incident of late; Katy has a stuffed animal that plays lullabies when you press it's belly. His name is, "Gumble." Anyway, one of the songs that he sings is, "Pachelbel's Canon in D." Otherwise known as, the "Wedding Song." As we were listening to this song, Katy asked me, "Mommy, why did you have 'greensmaids' at your wedding?" Confused, I asked her to clarify. She responded, "You know- when you got married to Daddy- there were fancy girls standing next to you in green dresses- Greensmaids."
Ooooh! "Greensmaids," "Bridesmaids," Same difference!
