You're Official!

You received your Social Security card in the mail, today, Katy. So, according to the United States Government, you "officially" exist. Of course, you've "officially" been part of our lives and our family since you were born ten and a half weeks ago and we didn't need a piece of paper to tell us that!

Pretty Girl

This morning, Daddy was holding you and saying your name, "Katy" to see if you'd respond. You did not. However, when he said, "Pretty Girl" you looked up at him and gave him an award-winning smile. Apparently, you don't respond to your name (I don't know at what age babies respond to their names?) but you DO respond to "Pretty Girl." Hmmm... as long as you don't let it go to your head, Pretty Girl :-)

Lil' Miss Gifts

A couple of weeks ago, I was out with friends and I needed to nurse Katy. So, I pulled out the nursing cover that I had made before Katy was born (separate prenatal blog post) and my friend Diane asked me where I had bought it. I replied that I had made it and she said she wanted one. She encouraged me to sew and sell the nursing covers.... SOOOOOoooo.... Born was the idea of Lil' Miss Gifts (named after our Katy since we call her "Lil' Miss"). My mother has been encouraging me for years to put my creativity to use. As I build my inventory, I will be posting more items. Please have a look and of course, if you are interested in purchasing an item, please let me know :-)
